2019 Forecast: Predictions Will Be
Wrong, Random or Worse

I wanted to share this Bloomberg article with you:

This is the time of year for annual reckonings and predictions by strategists and analysts, illustrating little more than that they know what pleases their employers and that their powers of prognostication are nonexistent. And yet, full of bravado and confidence, they explain what stocks to buy, when a recession will come along, what the Federal Reserve is going to do, and when the market is going to tank. (Truth be told, that last one is less of a prediction these days and more a case of real-time reporting.) These forecasts are, for the most part, exercises in futility.

What We've Been Up To

Runners from The McClelland Financial Group gathered on a rather frigid Sunday morning in November to race in the Running Room Angus Glen 5K Run for Markham Stouffville Hospital's Stollery Family Centre for Childcare & Childbirth.

Our best run time was an 18:38 5K from our newest member who works with us part time while working on his undergraduate in Business Administration at Schulich School of Business Joshua Della Rossa.

The McClelland Financial Group and its clients gathered over 130 toys and $300 in cash donations for this year’s CP24 CHUM City Christmas Wish Foundation.

Holiday Cocktail and Art Expo

The McClelland Financial Group’s first client art exhibit was a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays.

Guests enjoyed an open house atmosphere with cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and a sweets, cookies and milk bar while the dulcimer tones of Shane and Mike Connon filled the room with some musical classics.

It brought together artists, food lovers, clients, friends and family for a happy holiday gathering in the transformed Thornhill Golf and Country Club. Fifteen client exhibitors showed off their multi disciplinary works of art from sculpture, purse-making, carving, silkscreen, watercolour, acrylic and oil on canvas, to writing and stills photography.

We are grateful to all those who participated and attended the event.
