Well, it has happened again. Volatility in the equity market is affecting investor sentiment. There are increased calls to the office about Ebola and how it is affecting the markets. Client meetings are centered around the price of oil and how it will affect retirement plans.
However, this is no surprise. We expected the inevitable “market pullback” to have this effect. Current events do not have any bearing on our long-term strategy in clients’ portfolios. It is our job to reiterate this to our clients while at the same time acknowledging their concerns.
